Albion Mill, Blackburn

Peacock + Smith assisted Condy Lofthouse Architects in securing planning permission for redevelopment of the vacant site to deliver a modern Extra Care facility. The proposals included a 109 bed facility at Albion Mill to include 50 extra care apartments, 31 en-suite rooms for intermediate care and four rehabilitation apartments in association with Blackburn with Darwen Council and the local NHS (development value of £12.5m).

Peacock + Smith were instructed to undertake a full public consultation event, and to prepare a Statement of Community Involvement and Planning Statement to justify the development.
