Brayton, North Yorkshire

Peacock + Smith was successful in securing permission for a proposed residential development outside the development limits of Brayton, a large village in Selby District.  Peacock and Smith introduced the landowner to a site promoter and subsequently secured an outline permission for the development of 125 dwellings.

Initially the key challenges with the project primarily related to development of homes beyond the settlement limit of Brayton, which was strongly objected to by local residents.  Once outline permission was secured, the key challenges related to detailed negotiations with the Council regarding the finer details of site layout and S106 amendments.
