Cottingham, East Riding of Yorkshire

Peacock + Smith acted on behalf of Quora Developments and McCarthy & Stone in securing planning permission for a new care facility in Cottingham.

The Grade ll Listed Building adjacent to the site and the sites location within a Conservation Area were key considerations in the application.  A careful landscaping scheme was incorporated into the design to add valuable amenity space. The overall design (by Harris Partnership) was geared towards being in keeping with the surrounding area, utilising a contemporary design which drew reference from the Conservation Area and ensured the development sat harmoniously within the existing street scene.

Future phases of work will include commercial uses on the wider site.
