Peacock + Smith have submitted a full planning application for the demolition of existing garage units and construction of nine residential dwellings in Sanderstead, South Croydon. The proposals include the provision of private amenity space, car parking and cycle storage for future residents.

Peacock + Smith advised on this project from the outset, providing initial feasibility advice and carrying out pre-application discussions with the local planning authority. We also facilitated the public consultation process, engaging with local residents and Councillors.

The scheme, prepared by Bubble Architects, maximises the potential of this site, providing eight semi-detached, and one detached dwelling. The design of the scheme takes advantage of the site’s opportunities whilst also managing its constraints. A number of technical issues were addressed, including the impact on the trees, land contamination, transport and highways, ecology, drainage and sustainability. Peacock + Smith worked collaboratively with all technical consultants to deliver a high-quality and viable scheme.

The application was submitted in December 2020 and a decision is anticipated in Winter/Spring 2021.
