Evershot Road, Islington

Peacock + Smith’s London office has recently submitted a planning application to Islington Council in relation to the site at 77A Evershot Road, Islington.

The application proposes the redevelopment of the site to refurbish and extend the existing office building, and provide three residential dwellings.

The design concept is to provide modern dwellings, with an emphasis on sustainable design. The dwellings are proposed to be constructed from sustainably sourced materials, and will also provide a sophisticated landscaping scheme, including green roofs. The dwellings are proposed to be set across a mix of three and two storeys, including a basement level.

Peacock + Smith’s involvement included involvement in lengthy pre-application discussions in 2016 and 2017, preparation of a pre-application public consultation exercise and a Statement of Community Involvement, in addition to the preparation and submission of the planning application. Peacock + Smith will manage the project through to its determination. It is anticipated that the application will be decided during 2023.

The scheme, designed by Metashape Architects, also required a range of specialist consultants owing to various planning considerations, including daylight and sunlight, civil engineering, drainage, fire safety, sustainability, contaminated land and trees.
