High Ercall RAF Base, Shropshire

Peacock + Smith were appointed to secure planning permission for the change of use of the former High Ercall RAF Base to land for the storage and distribution of vehicles. Located in the countryside, the site extended to 13.35 hectares and comprised a multitude of buildings to be demolished to accommodate significant car parking.
In securing planning permission for the change of use and subsequent developments at the site, a number of constraints had to be addressed, including various ecological considerations due to the presence of bats and birds, flood risk and drainage concerns, highways and traffic issues, lighting and noise pollution, residential amenity and landscaping.
Peacock + Smith set out and delivered a successful strategy to address all the various constraints and concerns at the site, enabling Greenhous to relocate its headquarters to the site whilst improving its storage and distribution capabilities to meet business needs.
