Peacock + Smith continue to work with Bowman Riley on the creation of ‘Evolve’ a new business providing affordable workspace across London and the South East, and have recently obtained planning consent for two large B8 storage and distribution units with ancillary mezzanine office space and associated parking.

Phase 2 of the original consent granted permission for 5 commercial office blocks. Due to the changing market conditions, an alternative commercial scheme was put forward in the form of 2 no. B8 units where demand is high for such uses in this location. Peacock + Smith worked closely with the project team to align the necessary changes required within the wider scheme to facilitate a use which would require more HGV’s visiting the site.

The scheme, in providing B8 floorspace boosting the district’s supply in relation to this use, achieves a significant and high-quality economic investment on a prominent site, drawing on its good connectivity to the wider highway network.
