Peacock + Smith secured full planning permission for a new Care Home on behalf of Verum Victum Health Care at North Hylton Road, Sunderland.

The Care Home will include 58no Extra Care Apartments and 36 Bedroom Intermediate Care Units. The high quality development will complete the regeneration of the wider for employment area which has seen several new developments sinc e the opening of the nearby Northern Spire Bridge. Peacock + Smith were the planning agents and prepared the planning policy justification to support the non compliant use on a Key Employment Allocation. We also led the team and presented to planning committee. The scheme was approved unanimously at planning committee with strong support from local councillors due to the high quality of the scheme despite the policy position
