Ravenswick Hall, North Yorkshire

Peacock + Smith successfully secured planning permission for a major new country house and gardens in the North Yorkshire countryside in 2015. The project proposed the demolition of an existing building and comprehensive redevelopment of the site including re-profiling land. The project has involved extensive discussion with the local community, the local authority, and a deep working relationship with the design team to create a truly spectacular new home and estate.

The development of the house is now complete, alongside the second phase of the wider development of the estate for a deer park, kitchen garden, ornamental lake, boating lake and boathouse, stables, cottage orné, Palm House, and other ancillary development to complete the estate.

Peacock + Smith continue to advise on the project, with more recent approvals for ancillary buildings to support the day-to-day operations and management of the estate, an application to increase the size of the approved palm house building as well as an approval for a production house building on site. The production house will provide a functional benefit to the kitchen garden and help the estate to continue being self-sufficient. These recent approvals are now under construction.
