Skegby, Sutton in Ashfield

Peacock + Smith secured full planning permission on appeal for the development of 208 dwellings on land within the neighbourhood of Skegby, Sutton in Ashfield, on behalf of Gleeson Regeneration. The key issues considered during the appeal process were the need for equipped open space; design and layout; and the adequacy of the internal space within the proposed new dwellings. Whilst the Appeal Inspector found that there would be some impacts in respect of these issues, they did not significantly and demonstrably outweigh the benefits of the development, in particular the contribution to housing supply given the absence of a 5 year supply.
