The Circle, Bermondsey
Peacock + Smith has secured a series of planning permissions and listed building consents for the asset management of The Circle, a statutory listed (Grade II) building falling in the Tower Bridge Conservation Area. The mixed-use estate is part four, five and seven storeys in height comprising 299 residential apartments on the upper floors; predominantly commercial floorspace (retail, cafés, offices and leisure uses) on the ground floor; and underground parking garage in a two-storey basement.
Most recently, planning permission and listed building consent has been granted for extensions at roof level on each of the four quadrants of the central circus to provide four luxury apartments with substantial roof terraces. The scheme was designed by Waugh Thistleton Architects.
